Adam Kenneth Wilson plays creepy villains and he's fine with that. In fact, it's the darker personalities who he finds tastiest to play. From famed serial killer and cult leader Charles Manson to hungry vampire Samuel Gradius, Adam Wilson knows how to terrify audiences. He also likes to make them laugh. Spartan Youth Radio movie reporters Ross Raguth spoke with Adam on the phone about sketch comedy, sparkly vampires, gore and the nature of evil.

Video game music has gone from grainy 8-bit "beep, boop, bleep" songs made famous by Tetris and Super Mario to fully immersive, orchestral masterpieces.  Though some gamers are happy to play their games with the music provided by the game developers, many like to go beyond the console and DJ their own tunage.  Avid gamer, Mike Morrissette brings you some of the tunes he likes to game to.  Enjoy the first episode of The Gamer's Playlist.

You wouldn't think that sky pirates, mad scientists determined to take over the world and a collective of quirky and interesting people could make good music but steampunk bands Abney Park, Dr. Steel and Vernian Process prove otherwise.  Spartan Youth Radio has featured an interview with Abney Park before, we're waiting for some free merchanside from Dr. Steel and will be chatting with the creator of Vernian Process so, until then, enjoy A Dose of Steam.

You might know him best as that hard-as-nails survival expert who treks out to the middle of the Alaskan boreal forest or deep into the Amazonian jungle with nothing more than his camera and his mad skills. He is Les Stroud, the Survivorman.  But he's also an accomplished musician (his backup band are the famed Northern Pikes), rock and roll video producer and self-appointed world ambassador.  In our interview, you'll learn about his new series, set to launch in the new year.

Mortal listeners.  Why do you wake me?  Do you dare ask to listen to this horrific special Hallowe'en edition of Musical Stew?  I do not think your fragile body can withstand the laughter and the bone-chilling music of Peeper Theater Radio, Calabrese, film composer David Beard, the Volume Brothers or the Coffinshakers.  You still wish to proceed down this dangerous and vile path?  Go ahead.  Don't say I didn't warn you!

The Survival Horror genre has been evolving over the years. However, Dead Space refines the name and revamps the entire genre. You play as Isaac Clarke, an engineer on the USG Calvin sent to inspect a broken Comm array on the mining ship called 'The USG Ishimura'. The game happens in an over the shoulder 3rd person shooter style camera view, and the heads up display (HUD) is on the back of your character. You fight alien zombies called Necromorphs, and the only way to kill them is to cut their limbs off.

Derek "Skwirl" Forgie is a quintuple threat. He brushes shoulders with celebrities on a daily basis, is a respected standup comedian in Toronto, has a few notable tv commercials under his belt, is a tireless advocate for human rights and the planet and isn't afraid to dish the dirt on what he likes and loathes about working at MTV.

We were lucky enough to get him into the studio for a half hour discussion on all  things entertainment.  You don't want to miss this no-holds-barred behind-the-scenes perspective.
